Conservative:
Facilitate the creation of new national parks and protected areas
Extend programs to retrofit homes
Support economically viable clean energy projects
Liberal:
Increase green energy production to four times 2009 levels by 2017
Establish cap-and trade system on carbon emissions
Green renovation tax credit
NDP:
Re-introduce legislation to ensure Canada meets greenhouse gas emissions target of 80% below 1990 levels by the year 2050
Create carbon cap-and-trade system
Cut subsidies to non-renewable energy
Bloc Quebecois:
End subsidies to fossil fuels-based companies
Demand that the government set hard targets on greenhouse gas emissions and impose penalities on companies who go over
Encourage the purchase and use of electric vehicles through incentives
Green:
Introduce a carbon tax
Create green jobs by investing in renewable energy, public transit and retrofitting buildings
Cut subsidies to nuclear and fossil fuels
