You may have heard the name Nik Wallenda a few times this past week. He’s the Florida man who plans to walk over Niagara Falls on a high wire. After much debate, Nik’s dream was finally given the green-light by Parks officials in Niagara on February 15. With that go–ahead Nik is set to cross the falls this summer. Nik comes from seven generations of tight rope artists - most famous for the “flying Wallenda” circus pyramid. He began walking on the wire at age two. Nik has six Guinness World Records, but there’s no doubt in his mind that crossing the falls is his biggest feat yet.
16x9 wanted to learn more about the professional daredevil so we spent a few days with him. Taking him where he clearly feels most comfortable- up in the sky.
