Four men reportedly set themselves on fire in protest against unemployment in Morocco's capital Wednesday.

A video circulating on social media shows a man ignited in flames as police beat back other protesters outside the parliament buildings in Rabat.

A second video shows one of the men, his skin scorched and peeling off.

Three of the men are reportedly in critical condition.

Comments on Twitter suggest the men were all university graduates with Master's degrees, and were among a crowd of 1500-2000 people demonstrating outside the country's parliament buildings.

Moroccan citizen media organization Mamfakinch.com reports the immolations happened after police "violently dipsersed" protesters trying to march toward the royal palace.

According to the U.S. State Department, Morocco's unemployment rate in 2010 was 8.6 per cent, but the jobless rate for young, urban men was drastically higher at 31 per cent.
